Recognized under Tier 6 — Food Systems, Aleph Farms is an Israeli company producing cultivated beef by growing non-genetically-modified cells from Black Angus cattle on a plant-based soy-and-wheat protein matrix, sold under its Aleph Cuts brand. The company holds the world's first regulatory approval for cultivated beef, granted by Israel in 2023, and in August 2026 secured a second approval from the Singapore Food Agency for its Cultivated Thin-Cut Steak, with a foodservice launch targeted for the first half of 2027; Singapore has also become Aleph's Asia-Pacific scale-up hub through a manufacturing agreement with Cell Agritech. The company has raised roughly $140 million from investors including Cargill and Thai Union, with a further $29 million round in progress to expand production capacity. Aleph's process uses substantially less water and land than conventional cattle ranching, positioning cell cultivation as a way to produce meat within a closed habitat rather than relying on livestock or Earth resupply.
