Blue Origin
New Glenn rocket; Blue Moon NASA Artemis lunar lander
Accomplishments
Recognized under Tier 1 — Interplanetary Logistics, Blue Origin is the developer of New Glenn, a heavy-lift orbital rocket that first flew in January 2025 and, in November 2025, launched NASA's twin ESCAPADE spacecraft toward Mars. The company is also building the Blue Moon lunar lander family: the robotic MK1, whose Pathfinder mission ("Endurance") is undergoing pre-flight testing for a 2026 landing near Shackleton Crater, and the larger MK2, selected by NASA to carry up to four astronauts to the lunar surface for the Artemis V mission. New Glenn's development has been slowed by a booster static-fire anomaly in May 2026 that grounded the vehicle and paused planned flights. Between New Glenn's heavy-lift capacity and the Blue Moon landers, Blue Origin is building infrastructure for both cislunar cargo delivery and the deep-space payload capacity that Mars-bound logistics will eventually require.
