Recognized under Tier 2 — In-Situ Resource Utilization, CisLunar Industries is a Colorado-based company developing the Modular Space Foundry, hardware designed to melt and reprocess metal — initially recovered orbital debris and spent hardware, with lunar regolith-derived feedstock as a longer-term input — into refined rod, wire, and other feedstock usable for in-space manufacturing and propellant. The company holds a U.S. patent, issued in 2023, covering its Space Foundry process, and has been awarded a NASA Small Business Innovation Research Phase 2 grant. It raised a $3 million seed round in March 2026. CisLunar's near-term business is built around recycling material already in orbit, but its published ISRU value chain extends to regolith mining, ore concentration, and metal refinement, making it a candidate supplier of the raw construction-grade metal stock needed for habitats and hardware built off-world rather than shipped from Earth.
