Firefly Aerospace
Alpha/Beta rockets; Blue Ghost NASA CLPS lunar lander
Accomplishments
Recognized under Tier 1 — Interplanetary Logistics, Firefly Aerospace operates Alpha, a small orbital launch vehicle that returned to flight with a successful Lockheed Martin technology demonstration mission, and is developing the larger Eclipse medium-lift vehicle, for which interstage structure qualification was completed in 2026. Firefly's most significant milestone remains Blue Ghost Mission 1, which soft-landed on the Moon in March 2025 under NASA's Commercial Lunar Payload Services program — earning the National Aeronautic Association's Collier Trophy and Space Foundation's Space Achievement Award — with two additional Blue Ghost lunar lander missions now in development. The company reported full-year 2025 revenue up 163% year-over-year and guided to $420–450 million for 2026. Between a flight-proven lunar lander and small-to-medium launch vehicles, Firefly is building repeatable transport capability for the cargo, science payloads, and eventually infrastructure that lunar surface operations require.
