Annalisa Dominoni

Recognized under Tier 3 — Structural Habitats & Space Architecture, Annalisa Dominoni conducts creative, human-centered research in space design at Politecnico di Milano. Dominoni's work on the design of interior environments, wearable systems, and human-object interactions for space habitats brings a strong design research perspective to how people live and interact with their surroundings in extreme, confined conditions — addressing qualitative dimensions of habitat design that engineering analysis alone cannot fully capture. A Mars habitat that is functionally adequate but poorly designed for everyday human use would undermine crew wellbeing and performance; Dominoni's work helps ensure that does not happen.
